- Corpus Christi (Easter plus 60 days)
- National Day (August 1)
- Assumption Day (August 15)
- Brother Klaus Festival (September 25)
- All Saints' Day (November 1)
- Immaculate Conception (December 8)
- Christmas Day (December 25)
- St. Stephen's Day (December 26)
January 2, Easter Monday, Whit Monday, and December 26 are treated as public holidays applicable throughout the canton for the calculation of deadlines.
Public holidays, as listed in the CETS No. 076 list in combination with the GOG/NW and the four days mentioned therein that are treated as public holidays (Berchtoldstag, Easter Monday, Whit Monday, and St. Stephen's Day)
The municipalities can, by ordinance, designate a local holiday equivalent to Sundays.
